Who we are?
In accordance with Article 13(1)(a) and Article 14(1)(a) we confirm that ASTA Recruitment Ltd collects, uses and is responsible for personal information about you. When we do this we are the ‘controller’ of this information for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation and other applicable data protection laws.
What do we do with your information?
In accordance with Article 14(1)(d) when carrying out Recruitment activities, we collect the following personal information that you provide to us:
Information collected from other sources
Pursuant to Article 14(2)(f) all personal data obtained and held by ASTA Recruitment Ltd is obtained directly from you or via a publicly accessible sources such as job boards. In addition, personal information is also obtained via LinkedIn, LinkedIn Recruiter and occasionally social media sites such as FaceBook or Twitter.
ASTA Recruitment will also obtain personal information via ASTA Training Ltd IF you have registered AND consented to your personal data being used by ASTA Recruitment Ltd for job sourcing and matching, careers and opportunity advice purposes.
How we use your personal information
In accordance with Article 13(1)(c) and 14(1)(c) we confirm that ASTA Recruitment Ltd use your personal information for the following purposes:

Legal reasons we collect and use your personal information
At ASTA Recruitment Ltd, we hold and process your personal data within the scope of legitimate business use. In accordance with Article 13(1)(c) and 14(1)(c) we confirm that the legitimate business use is to represent you (with your consent) to potential employers to assist you in finding new employment/career opportunities. In accordance with Article 12(1)(d) and 14(2)(b) this is the legitimate interest which forms the legal basis for processing your personal data.
We rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis for processing your information in accordance with Article 29. As indicated above, the legitimate business interest is that we represent you (with your consent) to potential future employers to help secure you suitable career opportunities.
Who will we share your personal information with?
Your personal data will ONLY be shared with potential employers with your specific consent in accordance with Article 13(1)(e) and 14(1)(e). We do not routinely share your personal data and even when your CV is submitted to a potential employer, your contact details, date of birth and National Insurance number is removed to ensure confidentiality. The minimal information; possible is disclosed to enable the potential employer to consider you for the employment opportunity available.
We will share personal information with law enforcement agencies if required by applicable law.
We will not share your personal information with any other third parties without your consent.
Transfer of your information outside the European Economic Area (EEA)
ASTA Recruitment Ltd does not transfer your data outside the EEA. However if for some reason this became necessary, we act in full compliance with Article 13(1)(f) and 14(1)(f) and would:
How long will we store your personal data?
Your personal data is stored for no longer than 6 years from the date your details were obtained in (Article 13(2)(a) and 14(2)(a)).

Where you have specifically instructed us to represent you (and your details were not obtained from a publicly accessible site) you are entitled to withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with Article 13(2)(c) 14(2)(d), 7(4).
